IoT Flood Monitoring System

Thesis Engineering Project

  • Designing a localized flood telemetry system utilizing Heltec LoRa V3 boards for long-range, low-power data transmission.
  • Interfacing ultrasonic sensors with a TX node to capture real-time water level data.
  • Developing the RX node architecture to process and display critical environmental alerts.

Autonomous 4WD Robot

Robotics Competition (Triple-Event Champion)

  • Served as the sole firmware programmer for a custom, Wi-Fi-enabled 4WD robot powered by a 12V Li-ion battery.
  • Programmed an ESP32 microcontroller for low-latency smartphone remote control and integrated an ESP32-CAM for live FPV navigation.
  • Developed precise motor control algorithms, securing wins in Race, Tug-of-War, and Object-Gathering categories.

CARDASHIANS: Retro Arcade Console

Arduino Convention

  • Developed a standalone retro arcade console inspired by "Road Fighter" using C++ and the Arduino IDE.
  • Spearheaded hardware wiring, interfacing an Arduino UNO with a 3.2" TFT display and a secondary LCD score panel.
  • Configured a mini MP3 serial audio module and implemented custom analog joystick controls.

Weapon & Mask Detection ML Algorithm

Personal Project

  • Engineered and trained a custom computer vision model utilizing the YOLOv8s architecture and Python to detect firearms, knives, and facial concealment in real-time surveillance footage.
  • Curated and pre-processed open-source dataset variations using Roboflow to optimize training efficiency.
  • Integrated OpenCV libraries for seamless live video stream handling and automated visual boundary box rendering.
